This Riu was a pleasant surprise! We were initially hesitant due to the reputation for loud parties, but this property was surprisingly quiet. The hotel and grounds were impeccably maintained, and help was everywhere. Upgrading to Elite status was worth it; we enjoyed the separate, peaceful bar and the elite restaurant, where the food, especially the lobster, was outstanding. The service was excellent, and drinks were readily available. The staff, particularly Milton from the pool crew, was fantastic and made our stay memorable. Highlights: * Beautiful beach with wildlife viewing opportunities. * Three nice pools. * A social atmosphere with people playing games and socializing in groups. * Amazing buffets with lots of food choices. Overall, our party of six had an amazing time!

The room was nice, clean and had partial ocean view. The only reason I can't give 5 stars for the room was the bed and pillows. We were both very uncomfortable. When I sat on the edge I would hit the board under the mattress, it was completely worn out and in need of replacement. We were happy with almost everything else at this resort. For one of us, better labeling of gluten/dairy free items would be helpful. Also, if staff is working in food service they should be able to answer gluten/dairy free questions confidently and not be confused. Finally with the gluten/dairy free options, it should be available in all restaurants if it's available in one.

The room its self was fine. Very clean. Modern in style but the location wasn’t what I paid for. We were on the 1st floor facing the other buildings around the hotel and near the end of the hall where the employees come and go so noise was at all hours. So booking far in advance doesn’t mean you get a first shot at the better locations in the hotel. If I’m to be on the first floor I would like to have a heads up before check in and I definitely don’t want to pay the same price as all the other rooms. So even though our room was clean and well appointed our rest/sleep was constantly interrupted. I know asking to switch rooms wasn’t an option when we were at the hotel because the week was sold out. Having said all that we did have really great time. Food was excellent with lots of options. Drinks flowed and entertainment was good…although please add more Bingo times!!!! and maybe add some craft classes like some of your other RIUs…those were fun. Not everyone that comes to an all inclusive want to work out in the gym or join a fit class.

I absolutely love this resort. This is my third year staying here. We stayed February 18-25, 2026. The room was immaculate and comfortable. From Sandra and Jonathan at the front desk; to Samuel and Janet in the breakfast buffet; to Polo, Judith, and Anna at the pool bar; to unnamed individuals cleaning the grounds, cleaning the rooms, or stocking our refrigerator, our service was excellent and friendly. While the events were unfolding in PVR, the staff remained calm. Their replacements couldn't get to the resort to relieve them so they worked double shifts (some triple). They were still providing top notch service with a smile.

This was our third year in a row staying at this hotel, we return because it is outstanding. The staff top-notch, food very, very good. The weather is hot and sunny. The hotel grounds are kept at a high standard. Lounges on the beach and around the pool are always available. Beds are pillows are very comfortable. We like the quiet pool and that the resort is low-key. The only thing - nightly entertainment not so good. We will return!

An amazing classy experience. Everything was immaculate. The hotel and grounds were impeccably maintained. Help was everywhere. A concierge and money exchange in the main lobby were staffed well into supper hours. All inclusive restaurants and a fast food/snack bar are cuddled up with the beach bars and pools. Service extends just about to the waters edge. We witnessed (along with a 100 or so others) a wedding on the beach that seemed to off spectacularly well done. Transportation around town was simple enough with taxi service just about everywhere. Best: just about all hotel staff understood English. Worst: Airport. After Customs in-between you and the bus/taxi/transportation stands are numerous fully licensed hawkers and time share people. Regardless of what they say do not let them pull you off to a stand. THEY ARE LYING. Get through to the outside. A great place overall.

Staff were amazing . Resort was very nice and clean. Food was decently good. The biggest negative was the entertainment and the ocean. Ocean was rough and had poisonous snakes in it.. I kid you not. Entertainment was unfortunately lackluster, having been at a Hilton all inclusive the year before, the entertainment there was top notch. The RIU entertainment was a little bland but was probably more geared to the older average age of the resort attendees. Overall it again was a nice resort.

This is a high-end resort, well maintained, and clean. The food and beverages are terrific. The pool food is limited to hot dogs and hamburgers and I do wish there were better options. The staff is truly amazing - all of them. You can easily receive your drinks pool side as they are often walking around taking orders. As with most resorts, you have to get up early in order to get a pool side chair. Otherwise, you just go to the beach and easily get a chair there. As with other reviews, the first room we received had a bed that wrecked my back as the bed was so mushy (my wife called it the ‘marshmallow bed’). They did move us to a new room and that bed was better. I would absolutely stay at this resort again. Oh, and the massage tents on the beach are terrific and only $35USD for 60 minutes.
